This came in to my dealership today, first one I've ever seen outside a car show...guy was very cool and has a couple other sky's (32's, and 33's)

Ok, now this is what you are gonna do:

- Steal the keys.

- Get into the car.

- Start the car.

- Get the fuçk out of Dodge.

- Find a nice strecht of desert road.

- Set up a camera

- And drive its wheels off.

Stock Japanese speedo, I hate that! They're all 180 km/h forced by their strict laws/emisson. Exported version get's either 320 km/h or 200 mph.

The car seems to be complete stock except the MOMO steering and the rims. That car can't impossible be legal. Only 1996 R33 GTR is registrated road legal in the US, not R32 or R34. Is this one registrated road legal? In case yes how on earth did he manage that unless he crash tested the car or registrated as a kitcar (track car)?!

So what else do you think about the car B18BSol? You didn't only take the picture did you? Did you get a ride as well?

Very very nice. And, the steering wheel is on the right side of the car to boot

I think you might be off on the years you can register. According to the nhtsa site (http://www.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/rules/...LIG010906.html) you can register the 96-98 R33, not just the 96.

Yep you're right that's what I ment. R33 GTR 96 - 98 but not R33 GTR 95.

Anyway I'm really curious on this R34 GTR. Did the owner manage to make it road legal or is it just registrated as a kit car?

I didn't get a ride cause I didn't want to be a tool and ask for one :thumb:
however, he is bringing it back in on Tuesday for some service work and I will find out more at that point. He said he imports them and that this one is legal, but I didn't get into how or anything like that. I'll let you know as I do.

i thought it would have to be converted to left hand drive before being legal

Yes please keep us update and ask him how he manage to make it legal. This topic has been discussed everywhere in any Skyline forum and from what I know no one has manage to import R34 road legally in the US. If he has found a way for the R34 then I believe it should be possible

No, it vehicles don't have to be changed to lhd to be legal. However if he found a way to bring over an r34 and have it REGISTERABLE for street use the would be useful information. There are other ways to bring cars over but they won't be legal for the street (race cars, show cars).
