Lets not compare it to the Ford GT. I think the GT is nothing but a cartoon version of the original, and I hope this XXI century Miura isnt the same.

I wasn't bashing anyone. I was just saying you need to watch Top Gear's review of the original Miura. I'm pretty sure the Pantera and GT came after the Miura so they look like the Miura, not the other way around.

First, 1963:

Second, 1964:

Third, 1966:

The exact years vs the models shown above is not correct. I just chose those pics for the angles shown. Before you may wanna argue more, I'll grant you the Pantera came 5 years later... My point is that the Pantera is more bold hence it's presence than the original Miura and that's what got my attention... the bold in the similarity. I'm sorry too if ya didn't mean it like you said it but it did sound like that...

Yeah, it came first. But the Miura is more significant than the GTO and the Pantera in terms of technique, cuz it set the standart for all other future supercars. In fact it was the first car to be named that way. It had a high tech engine when Ferrari still ran SOHC designs. At the time it just eclipsed everyone and everything, so you guys have too see it in context. The Maserati Bora was introduce in the same auto show has the Miura, but no one here even mentioned it.

They said the Miura was the first real "supercar" as it had a rear engine and wasn't actually designed to be a race car first, road car second like the GT40 and others of that time.

Edit: I said "rear engined" but i mean mid-engined :banghead:

mmmmm.. miura.... if you wanted to go faster in 1968 you needed to be with NASA.. and while i think it edges on blasphemy to modernize one of the most gorgeous cars ever, i like the look by itself, and i like the direction Lambo seems to be thinking of going..
