i had this wreck going approx. 90mph. and i want everyone who likes to drive fast to know that if your going to push limits, wear a f***ing seatbelt. they DO save lives .one saved mine. i walked away from this unharmed, my passenger did not fair so well. this was the scariest moment of my life. thank you to anyone who will think twice about driving like an idiot after looking at this. or at least someone who will wear a seatbelt now

You were smart that you were wearing a seatbelt, and I'm glad that no one got hurt....but I dont mean to condesend on anyone, but these pictures only reinforce the sterotypical ricer, and not only the ricer but the sterotypical civic driver. It seems that everyone that I know with a civic has wrecked their car because of crazy driving stunts...

damn dude...good thing you came out lucky...i always wear my belt so i don't have to worry...but what happened to your passenger...

oh and 91accord...not to be rude but it has nothing to do with ricer....and not all civic that have been smashed are do to crazy driving skills....ive seen many cars smashed due to poor skills,

i've also seen ppl with amazing skills smash a car...so i wouldn't say anything like that...

also the term ricer is used now for the driving skills ppl have? i thought it ment dumb wings and stuff like that..

not that i wasnt driving like an idiot, i take full responsibilty for that, but even more idiotic was tha fact that it was pitch black dark and my guage cluster lights were shorted out so i didnt even know how fast i was going until the police did all their research and told me . i was an idiot and that is what im trying to say. i am making an example of myself.. and my passneger had to get his ocular cavity (eye socket) surgically reconstructed, and his jaw put back together. thats how hard he hit the drivers seat. when it all ended i found him unconsious in the back seat. he now has metal plates all in his head and tries to rap like kanye west.......j/k, just trying to lighten things up a bit, i will have to live with this for the rest of my life, i thoght he was dead, and thats not a good feeling when i am standing there unharmed thinking that i had just killed my best freind.

Well at least you had an excuse unlike my dumb@ss friends who pull sh!t like my brakes went out, and after the wreck they checked them and they were fine.. Regardless it sucks to see that you lost your car, because we all know how much that would suck, and its good the hear that everyone is ok now. And to Low Civic, point taken, in regards to how I used the term ricer, not that this has any relavance to how driftphenom drives, but its usually the kids who put the pep boys spoliers on their cars, and race them aroung like Michael Schumacher(i.e. the kids who bring thier 22 second hondas to the drag strip to prove something). And concluding this post..."I was an idiot and that is what im trying to say. i am making an example of myself" (drifphenom) you were not and idiot if you were able to walk away from the crash, but I would have considered you an idiot if you didnt wear your seatbelt and got hurt. Please tell me that your passenger was wearing a seatbelt?? I've known 3 people who have died in accidents because the werent wearing seatbelts....

Sorry bout the crash, but do you still own this car or did your insurance company take it away from you?? cause you can make some money off this tragedy by selling me some of your interior pieces... PM me if anything.

Unhappy

well as far as my passenger, hes as hard headed as they get. i dont let people ride with me unless they are wearing a seatbelt, i told him to put his belt on before we left the parking lot and he did.after he got out of the hospital, he told told me he took it off after we got going down the road-something i didnt notice. hes the kinda guy that is afraid he might not look cool enough if he cares about his life,i.e- wearing a seatbelt. and unfortunatly he still hasnt learned his lesson, he still doesnt wear one in his own car

Happy to know you're alright,
Happy to know your buddy survived himself,
Happier to know there's one less civic out there,
Hope the tree is ok too... and i'd draw a little car on it, like a kill on fighter planes

its funny you say one less civic out there, cuz i didnt really even want the car. it was more of an impulse buy. i wanted a new car and i saw it for sale and bought it three days later. i wouldve rather had a awd or rwd, who really wants a ff car anyway? i dont even think i would like a awd now that ive been driving the ole' 240 for so long. when i think awd, i think understeer. as far as the tree is concerned, it didnt survive, at least the first one didnt. im not sure which tree i hit second.

another point for race harnesses: if you hit sideways your body wont get thrown around, you wont slide and hit the other seat, as i take it happened in this case. standard seatbelts are insufficient for most situations. cheap effective safety feature. also gives you better control of your car, as you wont slide or lean in turns or impacts
