Chassis : Geals from BMW Z3 , 850 R-ving , spoilers , tinted windows , lowered with
volvos R-sport kit , Hood from 1985 GLT 240 , mirrors from 1986 , black tail lights , white turn signal lamps
Transmission : 4 vxl with electric overdrive from 740 Turbo
Rims & Tires: Super DTM 18" 8,5" wide , 225 35 18 Good Year F1
Colour : Mercedes yellow , Cadmium yellow
Interior : Volvo R sport upholstery , Opel GSI digital instrument , Real car extra gauges with blue
electron lightning , Alu pedals , Ital volanti steeringwheel

yea me and my dad are tyign to fix his 240, but there just isnt enought resources here in the states.

So right now were just calling it teh 86 ^_^ stock with lil modification, and can really hug the turns

oh god not the 240!! my friends brother has a 240 and that thing is so slow!! Its got like 90 hp but it gets like 45mpg. we've beaten the sh1t out of that car, burned holes in the seats with cigars and the cigarette lighter, a many road trips in what i like to call the tank. But since it is rwd that is a plus, cause we've taken it drifting in the rain and that was hella fun!! I just had to laugh when a modded 240, cool though.

I had one, dropped the turbo engine in, did intake and exhaust, and it was pretty hot. plenty to rape the little ricer b!tches around here, and it'd drift nicely too. it was hella fun in the snow too

those rides are sick, they hold on to the road like leeches
they lack of power but there is so much room in the engine bay that possibilities are as deep as your dreams. ask 88modell
940 turbo's are sick too

Why???? Because it is....a ghost. A nice 240 that took a lot of prices in the middle of the 90s

Gearbox : Borg Warner from rearwheeld Ford Sierra Cosworth
Exhaust : 3" from turbo and back
Estimated : HP 300>
Ignition : VEMS
Rims : 19" Supertstar Grendeur Spilt whith 235 35 19 Dunlop Tires

The car as it was 1997


When a bought it it look like the Volvo 240 God forgot.
The engine was busted , the chassie was dented all over and there was a cykle speedometer in the dash etc.
The original plan was 20" wheels and the car was broaden 3 cm on each side but lack of intresst and a yellow brick came in the way so 2003 i terminated the build.

This was the car when i waked it from its 4 year old slumber in september 2007






The car have found its way to the garage for some maintenance

































On the 15th august i took it home again after 8 months in a barn

Started to clean up under the bonnet and remove all there was


The former owners had done a poor paint job. The paint fell off when i cleaned it with sponge and water.





The new rims 19" 8,5"


Next is to remove the borg warner gearbox and sand blast the engine room and then
remove the axels and suspentions and turn the car on the side to fix the rust and all the wireing under the car.
U will be updated as i go along.
Estimated time on the project , 3 years

The gearbox is gone and will be cleaned and painted

New flathood on but it had a few dents when i unpacked it
but i will fix them before going to paint

unfortunately the rim is a little bit to wide with ET4. I have to use spacers 20mm
to get it cleared from the brakes.


In time this will be fixed , first...................

Now i have crossed over to 740.
I hope it will run in August this year but i think im aming to high. August next year is more realistic hehe

Its a Volvo 740 Turbo 1990 and i will put a B230 FT or FK depending on what the incoming donar car have.
So the 240 have to wait a little longer.
