Default not an m3

that car is not an m3 note the distinct lack of flared fenders and lack of raised deck-lid which were present on ALL e30 m3s

car is not an m3, no bulged out fenders and no raised deck-lid, all e30 m3s had these features

Why, after going to all that much trouble of fitting a 5.0 V12 into a E30, do you leave it stock, and just add NOS?
Besides, the balance of that car is just gone, with the weight distribuition all messed up with the weight of the engine.
But, it is nice.

The engine is barely (if at all) longer than the inline 6 that they had in them. If it was a 4 cylinder car I can see your arguement. I don't think it added any more weight over the front (from a percentage stand point), just added more weight to the car in general. But I do agree about going thru the trouble to leave it stock. Why not get a nice set of cams, aim for that coveted 100hp/litre?

If they added weight to the car and the weight went in front, it would throw off the weight distribution.

Exclamation balance

the balance issue is a very easy one to figure out. the v12 IS heavier than the m25 6cyl and whatever that weight diffrence happens to be, it would have to take place in the perfect center of the car for it to have no affect on the balace. unless than weight placed about where the hand brake is, it WILL affect the vehicles' weight distribution!
