I read the article online about it. On a 2.74 mile track the evo ran 10 seconds fasters.

That Bimmer is pretty fugly too. I hate that lip that sticks out all along the body just under the windows. The front looks ok, but the side is pretty unacceptable for me. It would only take very slight changes to make a huuuge difference.

10 seconds? No - here is a quote from the article:

I am suprised by those 1-Series numbers. I did not know it had that much grunt. Now, I love it even more than before.
