Ukunt as usual your so quick to believe any stats that favour imports vs domestics.
Let me try and point out a few things hopefully you'll understand the first time;
MSRP- GT500 $43,000 USD vs BMW 535 $49,400 (+ $2800 for sports package if you want to handle SLIGHTLY BETTER from factory & 18" rims etc.. Yes a $50k USD car comes with 17" rims as standard equipment)
For $10,000 USD I'd hope it have x10 the luxuries
Power GT500 500hp vs 535 300 hp (If you want a V8 in the BMW add $18k)
The stats on the GT500 vs M5 althou not posted by you are wrong.
The shop I go to tested the GT500 here and he almost hit 115mph.
The BMW has 300 hp so do I. It weighs slightly less than my car, and and V8 > V6.
I hit when it was BONE STOCK with less than 3000mi standard driving experience 102.8 mph in the 1/4 mi.
Somehow this BMW is doing 106. BS.
Anyone else reading this FYI, if your going to post times from Motortrend for example than make sure both cars tested are by Motortrend.
Dont go picking and choosing from any magazine, because ever magazine company has their own test facility at different locations, altitude, drivers and testing PHILOSOPHY's.
Some company's powershift the shit out of the car while others post times an above average driver can accomplish etc.

hah i didnt post any stats.it was a ford guy posting stats of one of fords best cars vs not one of bmw's best car..u can call BS all u want.i didnt post the stats.and like i said if a 500bhp stang can only just beat a 300bhp bmw.there is somthing wrong BIG time with the gt500

and for the price yes it would ride better have alot better luxury inside and more then a mustang IMO.but bmw's tend to do that anyway.they are known for it.

the only car worth taking any note to is a ford gt.and thats it IMO.but mustangs have never done nothing for me.

if your opinion is differnt thats your choice.

As stated before, I know you didn't post the stats, could careless where the stats came from, because both are wrong.
HAHA you make me laugh........... GT500 and the BMW are only two mph apart.
However, the funniest thing is I'm sure you consider yourself to be an automotive enthusiast.
Unlike yourself when I see BS, regardless if's it's directed to imports or domestics BS is BS.
Maybe science/ physics was not your strong subject.
I like to know the truth, then will base my opinion.
Some people aren't all about performance and can see way they would rather have comfort.
Also, you've been on tremek for a couple of years and odviously learned very little about cars, specifically domestics, because the 03, 04 Cobra with less power, smaller motor, but weighed 100lbs less ran the at 112 to 113mph.
That's the differance between me and you, you just love find, read BS on domestics, and love to post exaggarated import performance stats, and everyone can see that. Thats very sad in my opinion.
If the Stang does nothing for you I'm actually very glad, we'll never own the same ride.
How's the import fund coming?

i know alot of ppl say the GT500 is nothing special.but the stats compairing it to the 335 a low ish model bmw shows they must be...i can play on them stats untill.the true stats have been posted.which they havent yet been posted.''my friends friends friend' gt500 does this and that....... doesnt really count..

but if u read back. i was also trying to compair the gt500 with a m5/m6 another car with 500bhp.compairing a 500 vs 300bhp car.is kind of silly.

the fund is going .the key of buying is having my own money to buy it.not borrow.and yes i would never want to buy a mustang.and everything will be a import unless i get a lotus and thats hardly british anymore..i have looked at e36 bmw m3 evos.but untill fuel goes down here i dont think il bother.with it being £4.50/$9 a gallon.its a joke.

From that statement it implies you thing something is wrong with the car and the stat is correct.
But since you cleared that up my points are made.
M5 is 10k more
And m6 20k more.
If Ford can compete and beat them than they've done a great job.
The one thing I love about USA built cars is the average person (me and you) can buy a car, which is set-up for world class performance, when dumping minimual money.
I see myself buying another musclecar (but convertible) in 09 or 10. These cars will be knocking on 500hp, the manufacturer warrantees them for 4 years 48,000 mi and you can purchase additional warranty.
Trying see who gives you;
- That power
- At that Price
- Length of Warranty
- Reliability/ and car can be used as a daily driver.


In this day and age no one makes a POS, regardless of price, and I actually always liked the styling of BMW's, the imports make great cars, but are to expensive.
Over here we refer to American cars as domestics.

well yer u cant knock the price of them.but to get one over here and RHD they would probly cost near a bmw m5.and if there around the same price.the bmw has alot more to offer IMO.

i think all the manufactuers make cars in there as its cheaper
