and as for being on a track thats not a very good indicator because there are many who run on back streets where it is still legal and can tear many up on track, not saying seat time doesnt help cuz it does

Thank you Memphis....drift unit if he wanted to say BMW is better engineered then he should have said it like you rather than saying all the crap he has said! Some models are better than others but every company has its LEMONS! What he said to go way back was a stock 535 was better than a Pantera and being a drifter that you are you should know that a stock 535 would be swaying all over the Street or track. A 535 doesnt come close to a pantera! Up hill battle for you maybe but please drifter if you have drifted you know or should know which car would out handle the other with out me even telling you the Pantera has a tighter suspension and a lower center of gravity with better center balance. dude you do realize that non of those cars are even in this decade right. and i really dont want to take sides, but come on you get what you pay for. bmw vs. ford. bmw is the better car. may not be as fast. but they handle why better, they are built way better, they are way safer, and they look why better. come now, if you taking to some hot chick, what sounds better i drive a bmw or i drive a ford. this is coming from some who drives a bmw. as for the 335 vs. the pantera, you're 2 totally different cars.

Ive never read that magazine either, since its readership are members of the SAE (society for automative engineer's), and not the general public... you have heard of SAE tho, right??? they set specifications and standards for the auto industry. i.e SAE hp ratings.

Totally off topic, but I noticed corvette as 1 of the 2 best engineered cars made last decade. Just goes to show that solid engineering isnt just about good marketing and buzz words like DOHC, vtec etc, but finding the optimal solution to solve a problem.

Back on topic, I dont think there is any comparison between Pantera, a defunct car maker, against bmw. Clearly bmw makes better cars, but dont confuse that with the face that there is no logical reason to replace the ford motor with the bmw 540 from a cost or hp potential standpoint.
