Thats weird that they put the turbo on the intake side! All that I've seen go on the right side of the engine. And they've managed to put T88's there so...hmmm wounder why they went to the left side.

Been looking at the pictures in their website and I cant belive that they're using a log style cast iron exhaust manifold. Thats a choke point right there, plus it looks like the manifold from a 3/5/725tds 2.5L motor!!!

I can bet that the same kit will work with the exception on the tune. The S54 is basically the same on the outside as the S50.

not enough place for this side because almost every thing from this turbo kit is custom made, hand made or modified like: the manifold, turbocharger, exhausts, Turbosmart wastegate,Turbosmart blow off valves, ignition amplifier,etc.... all modified from the begining to the end.....

thats why the turbokit is for 22 800$ us

read: http://www.da-motorsport.com/projele...onm3/index.htm
and you will understand...

kick ass product

sorry for my bad english

The manifold? That thing is by no means custom made, like I said it looks like the ones used in the diesel motors.

Intake Manifold

-
Intake manifold production starts from scratch, intake runners are machined from raw aluminium

-
The size and diameter of intake runners have a great impact on where the engine produces peak horsepower. Here again, DA MOTORSPORT produced and tested different intake runner "diameter/length" combinations. Standard M3 intake runners are very long and have a curved shape, where BMW engineers wanted to produce as much power as possible at low engine speeds. However, this was at the expense of loosing top end horsepower

-
M3 turbo is equipped with an intake manifold with runners that are desinged to produce peak power from mid engine speeds all the way up to maximum engine speed of 8300 rpm

- S50B32 intake manifold being TIG welded at DA MOTORSPORT facility in Istanbul, Turkey
-
We do TIG welding only. TIG welding stands for Tungsten Inert Gas Welding Process. This is the best welding method. No flux is required. Finished welds do not have to be cleaned of corrosive particles

-
Most essential is the fact that there is minimum distortion of the metal near the weld. The heat of TIG weld is concentrated in a small area and only this heated area is affected. This feature of TIG welding helps to keep the metals as strong as possible

- Custom made intake manifold installed onto S50B32 by DA MOTORSPORT
-
The volume and shape of the intake plenum plays an important role. Enough air should be collected in the plenum in order to fill the cylinders efficiently. At this stage we have tested various intake plenums, which have been produced by us, and ended up with the optimum air plenum

I can only imagine how much they have spent on that M3-any car with over 1000 hp will walk on those supercars in straightaways

I wonder what type of handling it has in the track
