Default My son's bike returns!

We recently had to rebuild it, as he only took about 3 weeks to blow it up after removing the training wheels. 61cc overbore kit, w/ a 14.5:1 piston, new hotrods crank, and 19mm carb (vs the old one which was 13mm). Actually dyno'd out @ 5 hp....lol'd at the dyno w/ a PW50 on it.

here's the thing in action, just a front yard video, but he's back on 2!

Black FTW.

Any pics/vids on the dyno?

And I never realized these things had such high compression.

they were 6:1 from the factory, and that's the first thing ev1 replaced first, was a better designed head for maximum burn, and a higher compression piston.

no pics/vids of the 'dyno session' - just imagine the most boring dyno video ever, then replace it w/ an extremely small 2 stroke kid's bike....lol.

3 rev's and an average of 5'ish hp and like 12 lb/ft of tq. yeah...a real 'hulk'. But for his size/weight - it gets on the pipe real good and once it's in the pband - it really does him well to pay attention to the throttle.

My 'mechanic' (...the boy) was saying he wanted black wheels. I was wondering how that flat black charcoal paint would stand up on the head and cylinder though. I mean - it's not like it gets uber-hot (it's aircooled anyways), so flat black wheels and hi-temp black paint on the entire engine may be in the immediate future.
