Apparently this is a pretty common thing because I've seen a few videos lately of guys throwing studded tires on bikes and taking them out on the ice, looks like fun.

the 08 ducati was unveiled by stoner in an ice rink... was a cool presentation. they also shot some footage in real mountains in italy too.

that's really nothing new. I remember watching ice racing like that when I was 4-5 yrs old up in Wisconsin. I nthe middle of winter when the lakes freeze over, that is a big sport. Along w/ 4 wheelers on the ice and snowmobiles as well. fun stuff to watch if you can take the freezing cold.
