Here and there: So much hate for such an open stretch of straight highway. Find me a track in the US easily accessable to regular people to go flat out like that. You might find a coupe that don't belong to car manufacturers, but then you have to live near them.

I say "way to go", but maybe work on the video quality.

I can't top it. I did 170 once in a 96 LT4 Vette, and again in the '00. I wouldn't feel comfortable holding it though, just up and back. Maryland has so few roads straight, flat, and new enough to handle it.

any way it is pretty hard to get those speeds i just happen to spend the summer out in the middle of no where.

Right... Just because I'm not that much of an idiot to go rediculously fast on public roads must mean I'm scared . The fact that I could see traffic in the video shows that it wasn't some unpopulated road that you picked. Whether or not you are comfortable going those speeds all it would have taken was one person to do something and you could have ruined several lives, not just your own. So here's your for going fast and putting other people at risk. I still however hope your bike turns out like tougemonster's car did (see this thread: My crash).

Fastest I have ever gone was 170. My buddy did take his friend's GT3 to 202mph. Said 140 felt slow after that. The fastest the owner has ever taken it was 196.
