Re: Freestyle flip anyone?
The KTM 144SX is a uuuuuber nice bike. There was a guy out at the track just yesterday that had a brand new 2 stroke. I had to try it, and he said he hadn't rode a thumper yet....so we traded out for a few.
Jesus f-n Christ that thing flies. The 144 did lack on the low-end *(being a low-displacement 2 stroke will do that)* but what it lacked on the low-end, it more than made up for in upper part of the revs. Holy cow that bike screamed. I wanted to just ride a nice 1st day back after my injury, but that bike had me jumping things I didn't think I'd be jumping. Then, there's the corners.....that bike tracks so nicely. I got into a good rut, tagged 3rd gear, waited for the apex, dumped the clutch, grabbed a handfull of gas, and brrrrrAAAAAAAAAAAPPPPP! They also turn real nice, did I mention? lol
Anyways, anyone considering getting a new bike should look at those. They're deffo not a 450F or 250 2 stroke. BUT, they will definitely hang and/or beat 250F's. My next venture is a CR500AF. I have the frame, I just need to finish putting the engine together and somehow sandwich it into the frame. Should be a nice bike when I'm done with her.
