So I was riding home from work today, I take the long way trying to avoid the crapass road I live on because of all the traffic and the quicker route because it goes by the dump AND the water treatment plant and it turns out there's no in-cabin microfilter in a helmet.
About a mile from my house I get onto said crapass road, and shortly thereafter, a guy in an F-150 decided he needed to be in the same lane I was in at the same time. I slammed the brakes, and somehow ended up on the ground. Honestly all i remember is hitting the brakes then sliding along, thinking to myself "oh shit, that was glass shattering on the bike".
Luckily the drivers immediately surrounding me (except for the shitbutt in the F-150) were paying attention so I didn't get squished. Some guy helped me stand the bike up, then started it while I was retrieving my shoe about ten feet down the road from me and jumped in front of some impatient Hillsboro Boulevard drivers so I didn't get smacked by some crapass who cared more about making it home in time to see dancing with the stars than say... seeing if the guy who just went sledding on the pavement was in need of medical attention or a high five or something.

I was so happy that I was ok that I wasn't even mad at the guy who cut me off. I got scraped up pretty good, and I tweaked my shoulder, knee and maybe hip in the fall.

The bike is fine, just a little scraped, but I rode it home.
I'll get pictures of it tomorrow in the daylight.

That's the main reason I never got a bike. There are dumb f*cks everywhere....I prefer a car, at least there is some type of protection. I've been hit twice now, both times in the same place (passenger door/rear quarter)

I hate where I live....My car isn't on the road atm and to be honest, I'm kinda glad to not be driving for a lil while. The retardation when it comes to driving around here is mind boggling. Soccer mom c*nts and other various morons...

Thanks guys, I'm a little sore this morning, the scrapes don't hurt much, it was just hard getting to sleep cause my arm's really tender.

I had a helmet, board shorts and a t shirt on, and none of those things even got a scratch. I guess my skin protected them.

How fast were you going at the time?

I find that most drivers are actually more cautious around me on my bike, problem is it only takes one!

Looks like you did ok for having shorts and a t on, count your blessings and stay away from fords!
