Crude Oil and Total Petroleum Imports Top 15 Countries

I know some people dont believe what I see and know, but the number #1 exporter now is to increase its production by 50% in the next couple years.

You are spot on. The war in iraq had an impact on gas prices by creating uncertainty in the supply... but that was a temporary blip. The biggest issue issue is voracious demand for oil from china/india and slowing rate of new oil discoveries. Middle Eastern nations are not importing, these are the top 15 countries that export to the USA only, crude oil & petro (gas)
Canada now leads in both catagories to the USA.

Canada now is the greatest exporter oil oil to the USA.

American's that know this are probably happy that they are buying less from the middle east?
ITo bad it's a double edged sword.
The oil sand fields out west have been known for decades, but it was to expensive to extract the oil when the barrel was less than $60 (approx)
Now that it's at $120/ barrel, it's highly profitable to extract the oil from the sands.
That's good for us, BUT the Saudi's do not require this process and are selling it at $120/ barrel.
Long story quick, althou less is being purchased in the middle east, they are making a killing along with all others that do not extract oil from sand fields.

True, hope canada gets the oil extracted fast. and i know a guy thats part of building a new refinery that has 5x the capacity of any other refinery in tx.

Why the hell don't we use our oil ? I would think that between the oil rigs off the coast of Washington state, Oregon, California, Land based drilling in Alaska, Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, Oklahoma and hell even Tennessee ....we could be self supporting ????????????????????????????????????????????????
