I'll bet there were no street races as well since everyone was getting tickets lol. That argument could go either way. There's absolutely no way you can say that there would be NO street racing for sure after/during the "get together".

Because until they do, they haven't done anything wrong. That is, unless they did have illegal mods, were blasting music too loud or doing burnouts.
I thought the cops's questions were funny. "Why would you have those mods unless you were going to street race?" They could basically ask anyone with any fast car the same question. Why would you buy a fast car unless you were going to street race? So if you have a car that can go over the speed limit, you must want to street race, right? Thats a lot of fuel tax money for a questionable bust. California fuel is so damn expensive. And this is where the money is going? And seriously, as its been said before, there are other, bigger, worse crimes they could be attending to. There's really no excuse for illegal mods or breaking the law in any other way, though, so if they were breaking the law they should stop complaining.

Once again you are taking an extremely biased articles statements for fact. There is no way of knowing how true everything is. If someone could please find a real news article of this happening it would help.
But like I said before, it's easy revenue for them. If they pull into a huge parking lot full of cars with the hoods up and just walk through, they have every right to give people tickets for everything they see.

Still, they are allowed to do that. If they suspect someone of drunk driving should they wait for them to crash to stop them? Same idea, why let people who might have illegal mods leave while they are checking other cars?

NO!!!!!

im surprised i havent been pulled over for speeding
the thing that sucks is, basically every performance part or aftermartket part here is "illegal" so why sell them at shops???? if cops are going to give u a ticket and make u put it back to stock, shouldnt it be that you have to have a special license to be able to buy the parts and have it registered as track only??

It's not the shops fault if you do something illegal. The trick is to find out exactly what is legal and what isn't. Then either suck it up and take a chance or don't do the illegal mods.
