Stop rubbing your eyes and start cracking up a smile on your lips, cause this is no photoshop, it's a copyshop! Once again, the Chinese automakers are doing their best to amaze us with there ingenuity ! This time the victim is the Smart Fortwo and the victimizer is Shandong Huoyun, a subsidiary of the Qilu Petrochemical Corporation.

As Autobild reported, Smart boss Ulrich Walker was caught completely off guard when the magazine contacted him about the Chinese plagiarism. While the exterior looks of the car a complete knockoff, the interior and the mechanical parts are different -guess that makes it ok for the Chinese...

Anyway, instead of having a petrol motor, as its name implicates, the HuoYun Electromobile gets an electric motor that's good enough according to the Chinese to give it a max range of 120 km / 75 miles and a top speed of 50 km/h / 31 mph.

I saw one of a Isuzu/Opel Frontera SUV knockoff they tried to sell in Europe (netherlands I think)

It seems that that chinese SUV had a special feature:

Upon crashing the SUV turned into a yoga class, by making the drivers knees reach his face...

They say its made out of metal, but on impact that SUV bended like paper, I mean, the car bended has far as the B pilar...

If the car crushed to the B pillar that's ridiculous they are allowed to produce something like that, that's death for the driver and the passenger. I've seen egg cartons with better crumple protection.

AWESOME, I can't wait until they start selling Chinese cars in America. I thought the koreans made shit cars until I saw this. That SL looks like a power wheels.

ugly as hell yet can park anywhere

The smart is built by Mercedes, The chinese one is just a ripoff with an electric motor, and probably no safety features.
