FIA wants to impose a "development freze" on the engines, making it illegal to further develop an engine after its homologation. Teams havent accept that decision yet, and the japonese teams are the ones showing the strongest opposition to this.

Apparently the FIA doesnt feel that making a standart ECU for all teams is enough.

Another nail in the F1 coffin...

This is terrible. It is F1 because of the technology they develop and the advances they make. Even if there was a freze many teams (all?) would continue to develop for the time when they are allowed to upgrade/ update.

When Michelin left F1 I know that they didn't stop developing new tyres and when they returned they were on the pace. I would suggest the same thing would happen with engines.

so the F1 is turning into nascar..... using old ass technology and making every car the same.. .soon they'll make every car conform to one body mold
