OMFG...I had to drive up a ski jump ramp the other day to save a rare endangered Tasmanian fruit bat perched at the very top. Talk about freaky coincidences.
![]() That said, that video has to be the most idiotic attempt at marketing I've seen lately. What's next? Will we see something drive up the retaining wall of the Hoover Dam? If only the geniuses (genii?) responsible turned the car around and launched it properly...just like how a ski jumper would actually use the ramp as designed. ![]() |

Without Quattro, the brand offers little that the other main German contenders don't already have in spades, like high-end status, instant brand recognition, and unquestioned desirability and style. Remember, that in the world of luxury vehicles, image is everything. Economy, reliability, durability, utility, value, and sensibility have no place here. Interestingly, both BMW and M-B both have AWD systems available on select vehicles in their respective line-ups, but the availability of AWD isn't the sole reason why someone would immediately choose an applicable model from either of these two manufacturers. So, at every possible chance, the Quattro system is touted in Audi's adverts. Hence, this advert. I'm sure that if they could get an Audi to drive up the vertical side of a skycraper they would--and yes, Jeep has already done that. ![]() ![]() |
