Holas! New 5th Gear series. Tiff tests Audi's first supercar.A serious rival to the Porsche 911 C4, the Audi kicks 414bhp, has a top speed of 187mph and will do 0-62 in 4.6 seconds, that's half a second quicker than the 911.

V8 4.2 litros 420 CV a 7800 RPM 44 KgF de tork...

Taxa de 12,5:1 Câmbio de 6 marchas...tração Quattro.

'brigado cara! Somehow i expected a bit more... guess they don't want to compete with the gallardo... but it's a bit weird to have 3 very similar cars? Does the prices justify the so little differences? I've included the Bugatti just cuz all cars are awd, mr and comes from VW.

Veyron 8L @ 1000 hp costs around U$ 1,7 M
Murcielago 6,2L @ 600ish is about ..... 300 000
Gallardo 5L @ 500ish ....................... 175 000
and R8 4,2L @ 400 ish ..................... 110 000

Well, the answer is easy: supercharge the audi or sell the engine and buy the R10 TDI and pray the drivetrain will hold... still should be cheaper than the Gallardo and it wouldn't be as bad as "corrupting" a Lambo

half Gaucho from Brasil, half from Uruguay. exported to canuk land, on the poutine side before i could learn to write in portuguese but i speak fine and with that southern tone heheheh...

back to the R8, it weights in at 3434 lbs (bit heavy there), so a ratio of 8.2
the Gallardo is at 3153 (i tought it was way heavyer) for a ratio of just 6.1
the Murci tips the scale at 3637 lbs, so with 580 hp, the ratio will be at 6.3

wow, the gallardo is ... then the murci... wait...

2007 Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera 2997/530=5.65 <!!!
2007 Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 ......3670/640=5.73

wow! ...but:

2006 Gallardo has a 4 seconds 0 to 62
the '06 Murcielago clocks in at 3.8
while the Superleggera also is 3.8
and finally, the LP640 does it in 3.3

oh and for not going too off topic, the R8 does it in 4.4

so basicly what suxorz is the gallardo E-gear! how much transmission/powertrain can you get for U$80 000? Thats the price between the SL and the LP... don't forget that performance wise, the lighter it is, the faster around the bends and the better for the brakes and tires...
