On a turbo car, when you let off the gas, the extra boost pressure is let off (through the BOV). Since this air is already measured, the computer adds the correct amout of fuel, but now the measured air has been released and the extra fuel does not burn. It then leaves the cylinder and into the hot exhaust where it is sometimes ignited by the hot piping. Mine does it all the time. Especially if I am going to pass someoneand I ride high in a gear and then dont pass them, and let off the gas without pressing the clutch. BBOOOOFFFF!!! fireball
