I think it is partly because of the "hotrod" mentality. Back when.... everyone started SCing their hot rods and that is what worked. Everyone is comfy with their SC vehicle. TT is a newer art and technology.
I think most Americans prefer the SC.
It isn't that their are not any TT v8 engines...it's more of a "why TT?".
You see more TT applications with the smaller engined cars....and it is more typically a "ricer" add-on.
Plus...in TT you are talking a much more involved process. I think someone here already said something along those lines.
