The thing is that it was a stock Skyline going against a heavly modded Trueno,even a stock STI lost to it also. if you see the behind scene video. they show Taniguchi shifting 2k below the redline and in the corners only with 4-5k revs vs the trueno 6-8k revs and shift at the redline. Also the main thing is that there was lots of handicap.
