Sy #1542 is for sale at Si Vallet Auto Sales (618.327.3000) in Nashville, il (50 mi. east of STL on I-64). i went and drove it last week. it's repainted blue-cheaply, has some ****-ugly Lund stick on hood scoops, and a humongous disgusting spoiler on it. it also has 2 a-pillar guages, and a supplemental H20 temp guage hacked into it. it was out of tune, and the turbo is weak. it wouldn't spool up whe i tried a boost launch. it would roll out 10-15 feet and then start making pressure. that may be a wastegate issue, too, though. My main ***** about 1542 was the lack of oiginality, and the gasket maker smeared all over the motor and intercooler. price was $12,995. i wouldn't give $9,000 with all the shit they stuck on to it.
sorry for the long post, but i wanted you to know what i know.

"****-ugly"...LMAO...thats funny as hell LMAO!!!!!!!
Anyway....BLUE? Aweeeeeee........WHY BLUE? Damn...that sounds sick...does it look good? I have a HORRIBLE image in my head....eeeweee!
Anyway, back to your "old" Sy...
Did you tear the engine down or let it go as is? If the piston was busted..chances are good the block needed some work if not replaced all together. I went to the site but unfortunally didn't see it listed...I could've over looked it too........Do you know IF the truck has been repaired at all?(was the body straight..ever wrecked...flood damage etc.... ;-)
I hope you see this thread by Monday....I'm going to call them Monday but NOT mention I have "spoke" with the previous owner and see what they say (or admit) about the truck!
Thanks for all your help in this matter...(and possible sale)
Gracie
(I'm also in the market for a Typhoon if you know where one is available....I would be able to SEE and 'inspect' it...but would have it hauled (professionally) back to my home in NC.)
Thanks again!
