agreed, awesome vid. Wish I had money to rebuild my engine or swap in a 22r and maybe get some suspension.

yeah, all i've done to it is a weber carb, headers, exhaust, Urethane body mounts. It used to have a body lift and 29.5"s, but i wanted to put it down to stock and put on some actual suspension.

With those performance mods does it actually move? Mine's got this problem with being completely onable to get out of its own way. Does the car you have eliminate all those damn vacuum tubes? I think I have a problem with mine, every time the choke shuts off it stalls itself out, I think I've narrowed it down to the carb, so I'm assuming either one of the tubes is messed up or it's detached and I just can't spot it.

The Weber is a totally different carb. It hasn't really given me any problems. I also don't have to run a choke here because it's always pretty warm. The vacuum problems with the stock carb are pretty bad. I'm glad I never have to deal with them. My problem is the amount of oil that the engine is burning. I think it's the valve seals because it burns primarily while downshifting or going downhill and the compression is fine. It's probably a little quicker than stock, but slow none the less. I'd say an engine swap is the only way to go. The 1.6 from the Tracker/Sidekick is the easiest and the Chevy 4.3 is the beefiest.

There are tons of places to go for parts as well: Calmini, Petroworks, Rocky Road Outfitters, Hawk Suzuki Parts, Trail Tough, etc.

SO many things, so little money.

I had an 86 Samurai JX. It was pretty capable off-road. In fact, It drove better off-road than on. It was a real fun ride. I prefer these to Wranglers actually.
