Here's some food for thought.
Canada now is the greatest exporter oil oil to the USA.

American's that know this are probably happy that they are buying less from the middle east?
ITo bad it's a double edged sword.
The oil sand fields out west have been known for decades, but it was to expensive to extract the oil when the barrel was less than $60 (approx)
Now that it's at $120/ barrel, it's highly profitable to extract the oil from the sands.
That's good for us, BUT the Saudi's do not require this process and are selling it at $120/ barrel.
Long story quick, althou less is being purchased in the middle east, they are making a killing along with all others that do not extract oil from sand fields.
