Here you go,

Cars For Sale: Car Details - AutoTrader.com

Yes the "skirts" were offered, but the overwhelming Z28's & SS did not have them.

The "skirt" package was a very popular option on the "RS" or V6 models but you could get it on the Z28 & SS

I was in the show rooms, with the sticker on the side of the vechiles and the Cobra was cheaper.
If your friend picked up an SS for $28K, that is not uncommon because like the 04 Cobra, GM was whoring out the last year Camaro's. I'm sure your friend also got 0% financing on 48 mths or 0.9% on 60 mths.

MSRP vs MSRP is the only far way to compare vechiles.
Just cause some manufacturers got a hot product like the 06 GT500/ GTR that people are willing to pay over sticker or a product than can't sell, which they need to get ride of, does not make that car worth that.

The SS did not come w/ what you call a "skirt" package, that was a Z/28 option package called the "RS" option kit. and all SS's came w/ t-tops and the ones that did not come w/ them were dealer ordered that way or customer ordered that way and it is only a $ 600 option, not 1200 like you said. But whatever floats your boat dude, you can beleive that a optioned out SS is the same price as an 03/04 cobra if you so choose to beleive, but I know damn well that the cobras were A LOT more money for a fraction of performance difference ( due to the weight of the cobra) Even my friend factory ordered 2002 SS Anniversary package w/ all SLP options was 28k.....for a sought after collector car. While the cheapest cobra I even saw was 33k and the most expensive new 03-04 I saw was a 37k hard top and a 42k cobra convertable.
