Yes and No.
The Cobra was a little cheaper MSRP vs MSRP equally equipped than the SS Camaro.
However the Z28 was about $2000 CDN or $1400 USD cheaper.
Now you might think how do I know this.
In 2001 I was looking at buying the Camaro. Couldn't afford it (well mainly cause the insurance) so bought another car.
2004 rolls around wanted to get a V8, checked out the Cobra's pricing, decided to wait until 05 for the Stang cause I loved it.
Not to knock GM, but on there F-Body's there were options that dimed you to get, just to make your car liveable.
I was surprised at there advertised number and what it actually came out to.
The one option that sticks out was, if you didn't get the 17" wheels option, than your car came equipped with 16's and governed at 100mi/ hr
