oh blah blah everyone says that if u put nitrous on a motor you are gonna fry your tranny or you're gonna blow holes in your pistons....lies i tell you lies. i have put nitrous on many cars and trucks and i have yet to have any issues. Its not the nitrous that is the problem its normally the person installing it. If you are planning on using nitrous on your camaro (assuming LT1) you can easily handle a up to a 75 shot on the "street" with out having to worry about to many complications if u have an "accident". you arent gonna have an big hp jump using nitrous but if you are looking for that extra edge off the street lamps i'd say save your money and use nitrous. BUT if you are planning on "road racing" or going to the strip to race i would recommend using a s/c. you are going to be paying out of ur ass for this though. you are gonna have a lot more work put into and most "bolt on" superchargers i would recommend to do yourself. there are a lot of little things that have to be done just to make sure everything runs correctly unless you wanna have to fix something down the road. Superchargers rattle your motor to bits and at most shops we will check things and tighten them down before we even start the install... this sounds like a lot of bullshitting but ya know i dont wanna see you or your car hurt so i would go to a professional and have them atleast estimate the time and the procedure of what you want done.
short story: Nitrous is good if done right and is cheap for little bursts. Supercharger is Expensive but has constant hp gains which is good. Longevity of motor can be an issue with supercharger.
