Default Chevy2nova's 1969 442 project

so i havent updated on the 442 in a while but its been a freezing winter here that just didnt want to go away, now that its warming up and i got my tax return a little bit ago, i decided to splurge and buy the body pieces i need for the 442

first we removed the back window, slow process but you gotta do it right

then i started to sand away at the rear quarters to get through the primer and bondo, there was so much bondo i had to stop and use a heat gone to scrap the rest of the bondo off. Fried my drop light in the process

Only to not much surprise that the quarters are totally shot and it looks like the car had some previous damage done to it and it had some real shotty work done to it

so i splurged and bought new quarter panels a perfect trunk lid and a set of patch panels for the rust in the front fenders

The trunk lid i got was perfect, i decided to strip the paint off and found out that it comes off alot easier then the paint on the rest of the car

then i figured out that the wing they had put on the original spoiler on the trunk was put on crocked

and for your viewing pleasure i snapped a shot of the 442 from the other side of my garage over the nova
