I know what your talking about and I'm the first guy to go out of their way to shut those twin screw diks up. Make them run from a dig and they don't know how to finesse the go pedal and usually look silly. I have seen STi's with upgraded turbo's smoke them.
I don't have a KB or whipple, I have the same Heaton that Ford sold me, although I have have modded it just a little (Steig IV). I might have a slightly larger lower pulley (6lb) and a slightly smaller upper (2.80) generating enough heat so NOS might help cool it a bit (150 shot). But no twin screw. I posted this last summer, it is me trying to figure out my new Solid 9". I spin completely thru 1st gear to a slow 11.3 but you can get a feel for my other ride even though the NOS tank is dry!
At this point of last summer I had no clue what to change in what direction to get it to hook. I would either dead hook and almost rip the tires off the rims, or I would have to spin some to keep momentum up. The last two weeks of the season in Oct, on a cold track the stiff sided slick I switched to seemed to handle the instant torque I was generating but then the year was over.
No matter what car or what pass, I drive it like I stole it.

by the way, I drove the SS to work today, it was cold but dry and clear, I love these bonus winter days, it really helped me deal with the fact I had to work from 8am to 7:30pm with no OT (salary).
