I think it was great. I'm glad they didn't do the whole "wrap up all the mystery in one scene" crap that most movies like this do, when some scientist or expert spouts off and gives the audience all the info.

It was a "godzilla" type movie, pure and simple.
The whole reason to watch it is for "right there in the thick of it" style of the filming. It gave you a real sense of being there.
I saw it at a digital threatre and it made it even better.

My wife got motion sickness 10 minutes in and had to leave, so if you're that type, then don't bother.

Unless you have a big screen and surround sound at home, don't bother waiting for the DVD if you have any interest in it. You need to see this in the theatre to enjoy it.


EDIT for additional: This movie has a trailor on it for another movie made by the same people (Bad Robot), for a new Star Trek movie, supposedly beginning with the construction of the Enterprise.
