That evo crash is a perfect example of how all the wonderful high tech AWD systems can actually interfere with a driver's car control. He succeeded in kicking the back end out with what looks like trail brake rotation, but then (and this is complete guess work without being able to see what his feet are doing) when he went back to throttle to help rotate the car the rest of the way through the corner, the AWD computers kick in and stopped the slide. That would be good if the slide hadn't been calculated to adjust trajectory away from a wall. Gimme a tail happy RWD anyday...
