Default Re: Volvo Tragedy - He spend 9 years restoring it

Update:

I spoke to the chairman of the Danish Kolding Volvo Club and he knew the owner and the story behind the picture:

A few years back it was common to have your car given a free service check at the local Mechanics School so the apprentices had something to practice their skills on and saw different cars. The owner paid for spend materials and no labour costs.

Some student was lowering the lift while talking to someone else and didn't notice the telescoping transmission jack was still under the car and he first realized when the car came down this way. Somehow I doubt if he graduated

The School’s insurance had to pay for a rebuild because the car was irreplaceable.

The bill was at the time almost DKK 90.000 app £8.500 or in US $17.500

This and a couple of other incidents banned the Schools using private owned cars for training.
