Re: Beer or Liquor?
I drink beer, red wines and liquor. I'm in the PNW so most local beers are good. Wild River Brewing is within crawling distance to my house. I like to try a lot of different craft beers. Right now I'm drinking a 22 oz. Double Bastard (10% ABV) from Stone Brewing. 2 of these and I'm good for the night. Ruination from Stone is another great beer. Saturday I went to Rogue Ales in Newport, Or. and got shitty on an assortment of great beers. Next I went to Portland to Hair of the Dog and got a couple Blue Dot Imperial Double IPA. Mmmmm. Good stuff. My favorite winter beer in Olde Growth Imperial Stout (12% ABV) from Caldera Brewing in Ashland, Or.
For wine, again tons of local wineries to choose from. I typically drink a bottle or 2 a week of Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, or Merlot from Troon, Bear Creek, Foris, Madrone Mt., or Roxy Ann Wineries.
For liquor, just about anything goes except Gin. I can't get over the Pine Sol chemical taste. I drink a lot of Canadian Club whiskey, Cap'n Morgan's and Myer's Dark rum, Evan Williams, and Knob Creek bourbons.
