viper has a more exotic look and reputation, a V10 and the rarity factor. The viper is also less practicle for a cruising car, you will burn your leg getting out on the hot side exit exhaust, gas guzzler tax, and just the fact that you own one means that your penis is 3 inches long and you need the car to even get a women to look at you somewhat.
Vette has a more historic all American vibe to it, it gets way better gas mileage, costs a lot less, performs slightly better in a few catagories on 2 less cylinders, is a better daily driver. It wont draw the look a viper will, but real cars guys know what's up, performance parts are cheaper. Viper brings more bragging rights and will draw a bigger crowd.
