Its not fully tuned - its tuned within the rules of that particular class of racing, not a balls out, anything goes effort.

You dismiss this as if its an easy feat. 200 mph average record stood for 13 years before it fell. Even today, after 40 years of advancements, how many production based tuner cars can hit 200 mph, let alone sustain it on average for a lap (you realize that even with banked corners, you have to slow down for them, right? you think its just a matter of matting the gas pedal and yanking the wheel left? lol.... Im not saying oval racing is the epitome of motorsports, but it seems like everyone with no appreciation for motorsports thinks they are capable of jumping into a stock car and crank out fast laps.. there is reason why those guys get paid millions of dollars a year for what they do and you and i just push pens for a living.
