I go to the track sometimes and make faster laps with a CBR600RR than the gixxer 1000  Only thing that's less fun about a 600 is driving with 2; the rest is much more fun with a 600 for me 
For all the riders out there. Try going 143mph on a Ducati WITH a passenger. Oh man, it's such a rush! Crazy i tell ya'. Man!
