Just let em' say what they want about muscle. There's a reason we call it "muscle". The capability of "muscle" is far greater than that of smaller displacement motors, such as 2 liter, 4 cylinder motors, at least when speaking of drag racing. Most v8 setups are capable of making more than twice the amount of power on pump gas than 4 cylinder setups (whether they actually are or not) simultaneously doing it more reliably, too. So of course, always expect the v8 RWD to suck at launch on street tires because it has more power with less tire being used on the pavement. Street slicks are all the TA needed to tie that race. It wasn't a bad defeat, looked to be 2 maybe 3 car lengths which is about what the AWD put on the TA at the launch. Regardless, the AWD is still fast.
