are u planning on boosting? if so go with some forged pistons, and rods, also get a new head gasket to lower compresion.
it all depends on what u want out of your setup, is it gona be a daily driver, or jus weekend car
vr6 engine are very good motor, can make alot of power with forced introductuoin.

nah, im first, im just lookin at more low gear power, ya know, not so much 5th gear as much first and second (obviously

). This is really gonna be my first car project, im buyin a block from this dude for $200 i think, which only what is wrong is the #5 rod bearing spun, and the Crank Journal on the #5 rod is grooved as well as the rod and the rod cap, which i was also gonna ask about... How is that to repair? my buddies dad said he knows how, but i think he is gettin sick of me asking him questions

. But anyway, i thought rebuilding a vr6 would be a great first project to start on, and ill figure it out from there

Eventually, i may be throwing a turbo on it, but i doubt it for my first project car, just gonna give it a cat back, maybe an ecu chip, and some nice ass coilovers

.
So anyway, nah i just want a nice rebuild, not necessarily anything for forced induction, just something that can last me at least 140-150k miles, without TOO many problems

, ya know, like a new motor
