my ex had a real close friend killed for similar actions by a rookie. She (my ex's friend) was coming home from a friends house around 2:30am. Rookie cop, who already had reports on him for dangerous driving, came speeding though an intersection at an estimated 80mph with no lights on slamming into the drivers side door. Car was thrown thru the air and hit a tree about 5 feet up on the other side of the intersection. Coroner said her brain exploded on impact
