Default Question on Clyinder Bore Scratch / Pistons

Hi - I have a scratch that I can catch my fingernail on in one of the cylinders. Is it OK to remove a piston to inspect it, and then put back the same piston and rings if it is in good shape? Does it matter if the rings turn?

The scratch is toward the right of the cylinder. The dots toward the left hand side is just coolant. I know that the 'right' thing to do would be to bore the cylinders out and put in the next size pistons after a hone, but how bad does this scratch look?
Thanks.
