Hey i thought of getting a 20v fom the golf 4 but its a bit expensive here.

I have priced the 16v motors here and if i put it in $ for you, we are looking at between $800 to $1000.

A 20V is around $1500 to $2000.
And a 1.8T from the golf 4 $2000 to $2500.

Here in SA we do not have some of the golfs that you guys have in the States. Like the R32. We have a GTI 160Hp and a GTI-R which has the R32 kit but has more power than the GTI. its the same motor, but just tweaked. It sits with 200hp.

Your right the MK1 stopped production from around 84-85. But here is south africa they have been so popular that they have carried on production of them.

You can even pick up one right now. Its called a golf chico, golf citi.com or the top of the range one called a golf life. They still have the same shap just improved.

[IMG]They come with either a 1.4, 1.4i or 1.6i. The 1.6i has 115hp. And all of them come with the Polo interior or lupo
