I very much agree with you. An essential street car is on pump gass, emission legal, insurance, tagget and plate.
BUT let me ALOW to say this which the domastic guys ALWAYS forget or avoid to take in consideration trying to define the diffinition of a street car is that "THEY ALWAYS FORGET THE WORD STREET TIRES"
AND a true street car should be good at EVERYTHING, NOT just straight line. A strue street car is that a car can perform everything good with pump gass and street tires weather it is about straight line, auto X, touge, top speed etc. NO matter how you put it EVO, Scoobies and Skylines are by FAR the winner here. TOTB street legal car competition is proof enough, NOT just good at the straight line if you want a true definiton of a street car IMO..
A true street legal car include pump gass, emission legal, insurance, tagged and plate
AND STREET TIRES

On street tires? No way! Some DR is street legal yes but it's a still a tire you still don't drive everyday with.
I hate to add Skyline in a comment but let me say this if you guys ever heard about street competition such as the TOTB or street legal drag race in Japan they're all street legal and runs on
street tires
Skyline does in the 9 sec with pure street tires and pump gass, not many V8 can perform that even though much more power and torque..
I still don't understand that why so many domastic guys never learn that power is not everything for a street car. A true street car in per definition is also about how much power you can put to the ground most effectivly without loosing traction on street tires..
IMO!
