i had a similar problem with my xbox. When they updated test drive unlimited with a new package of cars i wanted to get them. Before i could get the download i had to buy "MS points"(i think this is f**** reidculous) as i go to purchase the points it says that there was an error due to my credit card not being active.
i called ms services and the first time they told me to re-enter my credit information and then the a** hole just hung up. i enterd everything just like he said to do and it still didnt work.
natrually i call again...
this time they say that my credit card wasnt coming up on there system probably due to the fact that i havent activated it right. They then continued to say "call your credit card company"
so i hung up with them and called my cc comp. The cc comp was greate and said everything was fine with it and that it was even open to web exchanges and purchases.
For the 3rd time i call and get this girl who had souch a lisp i couldnt understand her.
support: "Thank you for calling the xbox help center how can i help you? bla bla bla"
me: "yea this is the third time iv called and i seem to be having a problem with my credit card and purchasing your stupid points..."
support: "Can i have your credit card # (and other information)?"
me: "its bla bla bla"
support: "hmmm well its not comming up on our system..."
me: "yea i know"
support: "Did you call your credit card?"
me:"yea"
support: "and you said that you wanted to buy microsoft points?"
me: "....yea"
support "well theres nothing we can do so you should drive down to the store and get a pre-paid card with points on it. is that allright sir?"
me:"A pre-paid card? Why the hell would i do that if i could just get it through xbox live? and no its not "allright"... why would it be allright for me to go get in my car drive 20 mintues, buy your product from a store and come back with something over priced and completly not needed? why have these stupid ponts in the first place?"
support: "well its easier to do transactions..."
i cut her off before she spews more diareha out of her mouth
me: "how is putting a price on something, then charging it for a different price easier?"
support: " well sir is there anything else i can help you with?"
me: " not you personally but maby your manager can help me?"
support: "one moment... thank you for calling bla bla bla this is bla bla"
me: "Tell that person who just helped me that she shouldnt quit her night job, and i just want to tell you that i appreciate your fine job of confusing the crap out of your customers."
then i hung up and went to buy those stupid points....
