A few threads down you'll see a video of a modded Cobra vs. an E55. It should give you an idea of what a Merc is capable of stock out of the factory. Take this and multiply it by 1.5 and you'll understand what the SL65 will be able to do. At the very least it is lightyears ahead of any Ford in handling and general performance (keep in mind that I have plenty of respect for Cobras, but not much else in the Ford line-up including the new GT40). My final thoughts are keep it German, smoke everything else in style, luxury and refinement.
I didn't post this vid to dog on MB, that cobra has some heavy mods done to it. I posted it because there aren't many 65 vids out there, so there is no need to pleed a case. I have driven plenty of CL and SL65 AMGs and I know that that cobra has to have some good mods done to it to beat the CL.
BTW I think the SL weighs more than the CL, and the only difference between the two is handling. I am a huge fan of both Ford and MB and I just thought this was a good vid.
