Well, I think it's pretty obvious the Cobra had an advantage. It weighs waaaaaay less than the CL and was also modified. V-12, bi-turbo or not, is how it came from the factory. The next car on the Cobra's list to race should be the SL65 bi-turbo which weighs less (than the CL) and should give the Cobra a lot better run for its money. A few threads down you'll see a video of a modded Cobra vs. an E55. It should give you an idea of what a Merc is capable of stock out of the factory. Take this and multiply it by 1.5 and you'll understand what the SL65 will be able to do. At the very least it is lightyears ahead of any Ford in handling and general performance (keep in mind that I have plenty of respect for Cobras, but not much else in the Ford line-up including the new GT40). My final thoughts are keep it German, smoke everything else in style, luxury and refinement.
