point being, your either spending money or your spending money. when your paying 40,000+ for a car, then dumping cash into mods, money is obviously no option. so in the end, a ford guy will go with the ford, chevy guy will go with the chevy, and thats pretty much the only deciding factor when it comes to these cars.
and for the record, the gt500 and the vette are not in the same class. if the chevy guys were fair they would put the vette against an s7. ya, its not made by ford, but its powered by ford. and what other car is making 750 hp with a twin turbo pushrod motor that doesnt even have intercoolers of any kind? not to mention holley took basically the same motor, used only off the shelf parts that they sell and made an 1100+ hp pump gas monster with a supercharger no less, something even chevy guys havnt pulled off yet.
or you can throw a ford gt in there.more expensive, but more powerfull, and it doesnt take much to get it running the squirlies as fast as a vette.
or for 2 grand i can buy a dsm and put 20 thousand in parts in it and have a 850whp half carbon fiber track missile ready to take down any vette or viper in the hair pins

Ok first of all, quit spitting this all this bullshit out of your mouth because you are an idiot, plain and simple.
FIRST of all, you CANNOT make 300 horsepower with a cam and heads. MAYBE 50 hp...MAYBE.
And NO you CANNOT turbocharge the vette motor because it can't handle it. Guys are blowing these things up with minor mods, making NOWHERE near 800 horsepower.
Ok and NO you cannot compare the vette with the S7 because it costs about 200,000 more dollars and it is an actual supercar with supercar characteristics.
Oh and you saying it doesnt take much to make a Ford GT run with a Vette in the corners...you are an IDIOT. The vette is an understeering pile of cheap made crap that will NEVER compete with the Ford GT and ANYTHING except for price. The Ford GT OWNS that little vette.
OK and also, if you were to make a DSM have 850whp on a 4 cylinder car, it would NOT be street-able, run on pump gas, or be reliable. It would be a complete race car that would need to be trailored everywhere it goes!
