I hear what your saying and I said the same thing too " nice sleeper" , but it definatly should feel like a lucky car to have one of the most sought after late model engines under it's hood. Can't beat the cost vs. performance of the gen III LS1. I have seen low mileage fully assembled 6 speed LS1 motors go for $2000 bucks, that's a steal for a reliable and powerful engine.
