LAUPHEIM, Germany — They call it the Italian Batmobile, and it's sure to get the Caped Crusader's heart racing.

Hamann worked its magic on the Ferrari 599 GTB's V12, adding 53 horsepower by fitting a high-performance sports header that includes racing catalytic converters.

This addition reduces the car's power-to-weight ratio from 5.5 to 5.1 pounds per hp. The Hamann Ferrari gets fitted with a sports rear muffler with 90mm tailpipes, side sill panels and a three-piece rear diffuser. The face of the Ferrari gets a spoiler, which is designed to generate greater downforce on the front axle.

Hamann also adds its own 21-inch rims called Edition Race. The three-piece, ultralight forged rims have a cross-spoke design and titanium wheel bolts. In the ****pit, exclusive floor mats in black round out the package.
